Executive Chairman Paul O’Hare sent a thank you message to all Jenkins employees in recognition of all their efforts to keep business moving during the ongoing Coronavirus crisis. At Jenkins, we are an key part of the supply chain, getting products to supermarket shelves and we need to continue to deliver as the whole community is relying on us. Below is Paul’s message in full.
To all our staff
I would like to thank you very much for your outstanding efforts over the past two weeks. Because of your dedication and commitment, we have been able to adapt quickly to the changes required of us.
Ships have been discharged as normal. Thank you.
Warehouses and Port Operations are open. Thank you.
Deliveries are being made on time. Thank you.
Office work is continuing with many of you working from home. Thank you.
Some of you have stayed away from work for very good reasons. It is our duty not to spread the disease or to contribute unnecessarily to the strain on the Health Care services. Thank you.
This story is not over, there will be more twists and turns in the plot and I know that you will continue to work with your team to make the changes that will be required.
I would also like to take this opportunity to thank our families who are in this with us.
